You need support.
You need connection.
You need people who get it.
Â
Whether youâre staring down a half-finished canvas, questioning your style, or just aching for a little creative spark⌠youâre not alone. And you never were.
The greats â Renoir, de Kooning, Joan Mitchell, Basquiat, Warhol â didnât rise in isolation.
They had a community.
A society.
A place to be supported, encouraged, challenged.
Thatâs what weâre building here.
An accessible, monthly community designed to help artists at all levels move forward with their work⌠together.
Whether youâre an emerging painter, an established artist craving accountability, or feeling isolated in your process⌠this space is for you.
The Honest Artist Society is a membership community aimed toward connection with a community of artists. In addition to support from myself (Jodie King đ) and fellow artists, youâll also learn new tools to elevate your work, find your voice, and start creating your dream career. This is the place for artists seeking creative inspiration, accountability, and growth.Â
Ready to find the support of other artists (including me!) who just get it?
REAL COMMUNITY + WEEKLY CONNECTION This isnât just a virtual community where you ask questions in a forum and nobody ever replies. Weâll get real face-time with each other every dang week. Wednesdays are for Honest Art Society đ
First Wednesday of the month
Start each month with pre-recorded training from Jodie focused on creativity, technique, or mindset. You'll leave with insight, inspiration, and a clear focus for the month ahead.
Second Wednesday of the month at 4pm CT
Bring your creative blocks, questions, and big ideas. This is your time to get direct coaching, support, and a kick in the proverbial pants from Jodie as well as other Honest Artists.
Third Wednesday of the month at 4pm CT
These special events are designed to build connection & momentum. They alternate quarterly between Wine & Gabs, a Studio Hour and an Expert Training.
Fourth Wednesday of the month at 4pm CT
Get thoughtful, constructive feedback on your work in a supportive, judgment-free space. Share your pieces, see what others are creating, and leave with new ideas.
Access artist resources you wonât find anywhere else, like a guide to how to find your why, creating your artist statement, and the 10 studio tools you canât live without. Theyâre yours to keep and refer back to whenever you need.
We donât just talk about art â we MAKE IT. Each month comes with a challenge tied to that monthâs training. Youâll be encouraged to share your progress, show your work, and stay accountable inside our community space.
Ever wished you had another artist in your pocket? Well now you do. Our Honest Art Society community has an app that offers discussion boards, coaching call replays, shared wins, and creative connection in a drama-free zone built for Honest Artists like you.

Iâve always heard that âart is a lonely process.â But I call bullshit. Art is better when itâs made in community, in connection with others. When we have other insights, other perspectives, other people to play with. Being an artist is also a long haul. Itâs not about creating perfect art every time. Itâs about sticking with it. Itâs about finding your people. Itâs about having somewhere to land, somewhere that helps you keep going, even when the going gets tough. Thatâs what the Honest Art Society is all about: Giving you the tools â and people â you need to continue creating. Sure, art is personal. But you donât have to create it alone.
You deserve a community who understands you and what it means to be an artist.
